“I started shooting 12 years ago when I began to lose my sight. It was something to do, and I thought why not? I’ll try anything once. It’s a good club; we all join in together, given that we’re all in the same boat. No good sitting down and looking sorry for yourself. You’ve got to get out and get on with it. Just because you’ve lost your sight doesn’t mean you lose your life.”<br />
Elsie, St Austell Blind Shooting Club, Cornwall.  From the series "Because I Cannot See", exploring the funding available to people with visual impairments in Cornwall. The project culminated in a multi-sensory exhibition comprising of 3D tactile portraits, traditional prints, braille and audio captions.
